Our team expertly managed the end-to-end relocation of four 24MVA power transformers, each measuring 7.4m x 3.5m x 4.2m and weighing 40 tonnes, from a supplier’s facility in Melbourne to Auckland.

The project involved careful coordination of specialised transport, international shipping, precise & careful crane lifts. AAW ‘s boots on the ground approach kept a watchful eye throughout the journey.

Key challenges included limited site access requiring specialised equipment, strict traffic management with pilot vehicles and road closures, navigation of narrow rural roads while ensuring compliance with NZTA regulations and safety standards. In addition to the movement AAW was responsible for the final lift into position before the power could be turned on!
